Children's Vision Screening
Prevent Blindness Iowa offers free vision screening to daycare centers and preschools around Iowa. Many of our screenings are conducted by trained community volunteers. The screening test is scored on a simple pass or fail basis. If the child fails, the parents are advised to take their child for a professional eye examination. Prevent Blindness Iowa vision screenings are conducted according to protocols established by leading experts in children's eye care. Early detection of a vision problem leads to early treatment of a vision problem and less of a chance of permanent vision loss.
