Prevent Blindness Iowa, in partnership with Hy-Vee stores, is coordinating the NutrifEYE program during the month of April 2010. The purpose of the program is to educate the public on the important connection between preventing vision loss and nutrition, provide information on what foods and nutritional supplements may help protect against vision loss as well as to provide tools for people to determine whether they are at risk for vision loss.
Prevent Blindness Iowa is working with Hy-Vee dietitians and pharmacists during the month of April. The store dietitians will offer vision healthy store tours, diet consultations, recipe demonstration as well as printed materials to distribute to the customers.
